This past week board members Ed Kindall, Gracie Porter, Dr. Joann Brannon and myself helped celebrate the retirements and the additon of new PAL's leaders. Interim Director Chris Henson and Antioch/Cane Ridge Area Director Dr. Sam Braden were also in attendance and shared the great news of additonal positions being included in this years budget for this very important and valuable program. Through PALS, a cadre of outstanding classroom teachers is released from their regular duties to work with other teachers on a full-time basis to improve instruction and mentor new teachers. The goal of the PALS Program is to ensure that teachers experience success in the classroom by receiving the support and assistance needed.
I received the below email and just want to reiterate the strong support that this school board gives to a program that does so much for so many. I hope to see this continue to grow.

Subject: PALS Appreciation Dinner
Karen,
I wanted to personally thank you for attending the dinner last night. Your support is appreciated by all of us, especially me. Thank you for your support last year and your continued support this year.
We were all really overwhelmed by all the kind words said last night. We are so used to being the ones supporting others, it was nice to be on the receiving end. It was all we talked about today.
Thank you, thank you!!
Have a wonderful weekend.
