Davidson County Election Commission needs Poll Workers for the upcoming elections

August 27, 2014
Dear Metro Council Member,
The Davidson County Election Commission would like your help in recruiting individuals to be poll workers in the 2014 elections. We would like for them to be involved in the civic life of their communities and hope that they will become life-long voters.
• We need poll workers who are computer literate and who will commit to work an entire election day.
• The workers must live in Davidson County and provide their own transportation to and from the polling site.
• The pay for the day is $120 and $15 for training. We provide training for the workers on days, nights, and Saturdays.
• The work day is 6:00 AM to 7:30 p.m. or until the last voter has voted and all precinct work is complete.
• All workers must fill out an application and attend training. The application and additional information for hiring is online atwww.nashville.gov/vote under poll worker information.
Davidson County 2014 elections are scheduled for May 6, August 7, and November 4. We would appreciate your support in encouraging your constituents to participate in one of our greatest rights of expression as American citizens. Please share this information with them and ask them to contact us if they are interested in working as a poll worker.
Thank you for your support of the election process.
